Friendship Day celebrations take place every year, on the first Sunday of August. The day was declared by the United States Congress in 1935. The occasion began as a small event, to celebrate the relation shared by friends. Now, it has become a grand festival in every corner of the world. Especially for youngsters, it is the most awaited occasion.

Friends are like the greatest achievements of life. A true friend is like a Light House who becomes the motivational force at every stage of your life. Having a good friend whom we can share our feelings and problems will make our world happy & wonderful and worth living. Understanding, compassionate, trust, anger, intimacy, love, and care are some of the emotions a friend acquires. So, in order to commemorate this amazing relationship, we celebrate ‘Friendship Day’.  This wonderful day is observed to dictate one day in the year for friendship.

Friendship Day is all about showing your dearest friends the appreciation and love that you have always had for them but never had the time to lavish it. This is the day to make your friends realize how much they mean to you and how life would have been dull without them around. On this day, friends express their love by exchanging friendship bands, gifts, cards and throwing parties where there would be lots of fun, bliss, masti and mazaa.

My dear friends, Friendship is the only relation that we choose at our own while other relations are initiated with our birth or foisted by others.

I think if I’ve learned anything about friendship, it’s to hang in, stay connected, help them without any expectation, be frank & true, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don’t walk away, don’t be distracted, don’t be too busy or tired, and don’t take them for granted.

So hurry up friends, express your feelings, love and care to your friends this time without any hesitation and enjoy this precious day to it’s fullest..!! Kyu ki  kya pta kal ho na ho..!!
